I just realized that, in addition to my recurring nightmares that involve being chased by various terminator and cylon machines, I have recurring nightmares involving missing the bus. The school bus, that is. Can anyone explain to me why my subconscious is still terrified of not being outside in time to be picked up by that big yellow behemoth that

"If you miss the bus or get on the wrong bus, then it indicates that an aspect of your life is out of control."
Couldn't agree more. I pretty much run my life knowing that everything is ultimately out of my control, but there's one big thing that bothers me, whereas everything else isn't important.
"You need to slow down and map out a new plan."
Nope! Maybe the problem is that I have too many plans--I have my ultimate goals, and then I have many other smaller ones, not to mention a plethora of contingencies for basically everything I do or may do at any given point in time. But I don't feel as if my life is moving too fast or that I need a new plan. If anything, my life isn't progressing fast enough.
"To see a school bus in your dream, suggests that you are about to venture on a life journey needed for your own personal growth."
I'm in fucking California. Duh! ;p
But one thing I'm just realizing now is that I've been having these dreams for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time. And a lot of things have changed during that long era. So what do they mean? Change is out of my control? I don't think I have enough of a problem with change for it to manifest in my dreams. Incidentally, I function best in times of great change.
"To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable."
I'm always avoiding things, but even so I still think those situations are conquerable. I still have confidence that everything will turn out okay in the end. I will say this, though: There are one or two things I try to do, or strive to do, or want, things which I try, try again, but make no ground on. They're inexorable, and I can't seem to break through barriers that seem invisible...and so it's out of my fucking control, because those situations depend on other fucking people! ^%$#%@$%
"It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity."
I can be the most secure insecure person sometimes, but all other times I'm the most insecure secure person on the planet. So yeah, maybe.
"To see a robot in your dream, indicates that you are going about life in a mechanical and rigid way."
My goals are set in motion, but to be honest most of them are set up to be structureless, some even quite random. I've always accepted that I'm going to change though. Just read my myspace profile!
"You have lost the ability to express your feelings."
Yeah, I lost that ability when I was like five years old. Is there something I can do about that?
"Alternatively, a robot may symbolize the way you view your working life."
Depends on what you mean by that. I do best in jobs that are strenuous by nature. I like writing, and it's far more relaxing after a day of actual workwork. I don't believe people are meant to sit around desks all day long--those jobs result in lots of depressed Americans. As far as being a robot is concerned, though, I don't think so. Maybe I'm too methodical about the way I like to work?
