Istanbul - Day 3

Yesterday went to see the Tokpaki palace, the Sultans Harem, the Mosque and the Grave of Suleiman the Magnificent, haggled in the Grand Bazaar and bought interesting looking things in the spice market (coffee, Turkish delights, pistachios, pastries and a selection of spices not all of whose names i know, this might be firm at customs :). Went to a Turkish bath where I was cleaned and bent in all sorts of way. Then had a very good cheese pastry followed by a lamb casserole type thing for dinner and spent the rest of the evening in the courtyard of a cafe sitting on a stupid , number of cushions, drinking raki (well one glass its foul IMHO) and apple tea (I am fairly sure they seve Turkish apple tea in heaven)m and eating Bakalava and i might have been slightly bad and tried a hookah pipe as well (only a couple of puffs, not keen, but a lot less harsh then normal cigarettes) while listing to a three piece band playing Sufi mystical music (the same thing the whirling Dervishes play) and talking to quite a few people.

About to get breakfast and head off to look at a few things this morning, before heading back to London. Expect a
