Bones and other things

Todd recently got me into Bones. I started watching the episodes on TNT, then the new ones, and now I'm in the process of downloading all the previous seasons. I just watched the Christmas episode from the first season and I love it. Sometimes I want to bop Brennan on the head when she's being snobby about psychology, but it's so entertaining. The 100th episode this last week was great! I love how Sweets is a Brennan/Booth shipper.

A lot of my other shows have fallen by the wayside. Grey's Anatomy is a shell of it's former self. It makes me sad. Meredith is all whole and shiny, and she's still the show's backbone... for the most part, I'm very happy about her journey to wholeness. Everyone else, on the other hand... geez, talk about character assassination. Alex is maybe the only one who is still Alex. But Izzie went down the drain, George ended up dead after being turned into basically a background character, Mark went insane after he discovered he has a daughter (what was up with him wanting to raise her baby and freaking the poor girl out?), the Chief (or former Chief, I guess) was acting all un-chiefly. Bailey and McDreamy both had their moments, too. The only new character I like is Arizona. I could do without Owen and his face sucking of Cristina, and I'm completely ambivalent towards Teddy. What a disappointment the show ended up being. I mean, I guess the greatness couldn't last, but my, how the mighty have fallen.

I still watch House... in fact, I've started watching it regularly again. House with no vicodin! It's still a bit difficult to get used to. House and Wilson have to have the greatest bromance of all time. (By the way, I LoLed at Cutthroat Bitch being Booth's lawyer girlfriend in season 1.)

Glee has to be my new favorite show. It's just so funny... and I love the music - for the most part. I could do without Matthew Morrison trying to rap. New episodes start next week! Yay!

I ended up getting really into Southland, which got kicked off NBC to make room for Leno's crappy 10pm show that ended up being cancelled. I'm so glad TNT picked up the episodes that NBC had ordered. Todd doesn't like it because it's so dark - there's really no humor in it at all. I like how realistic it is. Ben Mackenzie is doing a really good job... he's come a long way since his days as brooding Ryan on the OC. I really hope TNT orders a third season, though I don't think it's looking very good.

I'm still bitter about Pushing Daisies, by the way. I still haven't seen the last 3 episodes. They're on my hard drive, but it's like I'm saving them for something. It's all I have left of that show.
