ok.... my oh my has this been quite the weekend... did i actually do anything? of course not... but now football is a whole nother story... now when my team is out of the playoffs i never know what goes on cause i dont care... but for some reason i watched like all the games this weekend and was so gazillion % into it... but ok... lemme backtrack...
friday did nothing... went to work... got back... rented whale rider... came home... watched it but couldnt figure out my dads stupid surround sound speaker system so switched rooms and had the same problem!!! gaahhhh!!! what is it with guys and speakers?!? just the use the ones the tv came with and all will be ok... i just wanna hear the damn movie!!! i dont need stupid speakers on the ceiling... grrrrrr.... so finally figured the dealio out in my parents room.... omg... guys, what an absolutely beautiful movie... *sigh*... and the little girl in it is just adorably precious... its about this maori tribe in new zealand and this girl dealing with her grandfather and such... sounds really boring, but sooooo good!!! and it made me cry... awwww, but such goodness!!! but yea....
***disclaimer... mostly sports talk for the next few paragraphs... read at your own risk...*** ok... so then saturday i have no idea what i did... sat around... ran some errands... then in the evening the family was gonna go eat dinner and such... and so i came down and brother and dad are watching the carolina/st louis game... and then they tell me the score is tied and basically overtime was about to start... little did i know i missed like the greatest parts of the game... 2:39 left in the game and st. louis scored like 11 points or something!! touchdown, 2 point conversion and field goal i believe.. i could be wrong... but they came back from a lot... so heads to overtime... and we were running late but the 3 of us ganged up on my mom and stayed watching the game.... so basically it was craziness... missed field goals... timeouts called to pysch out the kickers... you thought carolina won... they missed! then st louis almost won... missed!!! aaaahhhh... whatever was gonna happen?! finally after all this excitement... 1st OT is over... then we hafta hafta leave... but by then we'd figured out what radio station to listen to... we get in the car.. the game was over!!!! in the 7 literal seconds we'd left the house and gotten in the car the game ended... carolina scored a touchdown the first play in the 2nd OT!!!! gaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! of course i wait the entire first overtime and then BAM! over and done with... *sigh*.. but what a fantastically interesting game....
**non sports speak...please do read..** .... hmmm... this postal service song... "the district sleeps alone tonight"... i like mucho much... ok... so went and ran a million errands while i sat in the car cause i'm lazy like that... brother got a new stereo... then went and ate chinese...not a fan but my mom is.. so yea... then they had a tv on there.. so i'd get up and go check the score on the titans/patriots game... yea yea... i'm obsessed... its an addiction... but yea.... food was all right... went back home... turned on the game....

(haha, like my alliteration?!)**.... but ok... so this game i had no idea who to go for... titans? patriots? oh dear... first off from my girlie perspective... both teams have fabulous colors that i do like much.... so there its even... cause as much as i love my vikings... purple and gold?! uh... yea, you wont see me wearing those colors... but back on track.... but realistically i've always liked the patriots... being from the northeast and all... just like me.... so come on... thats just a great bond right there.... but yea... then the titans i've always just liked 'em... i swear it has to be their colors, i can't think of any other reason... but then neerav's a huge fan of 'em too so i guess maybe that infiltrated my mind... but yea... so im kinda rooting for titans... and they were down by a field goal when i started watching in the 4th quarter... new england seemed really arrogant for some reason so they irritated me... but basically titans got screwed over by penalties... such a minnesota trait so im familiar with that... but yea... i wanted them to score a field goal so it'd be another overtime game... but alas it was never destined to be... titans lost... sorry neerav! but yea... later on i found out that their kicker, gary anderson, missed a field goal earlier in the game.. if he had made that they woulda been tied and such... but thats another minnesota connection, he used to be their kicker and choked causing minnesota to miss the super bowl a few years ago... so it was like this minnesota curse put upon the titans... muahahahahaa... ok, not really... but yea... thats that....
*non sports*... then watched whale rider again cause my brother hadn't seen it.... but it was weird cause i didnt cry the second time.. i dunno.. *shrugs*... so then this morning my mom woke me up like 10 something! man... i've been waking up so late... but its weird cause my dads the type to come waking us up... but then she came by and i still didnt get up.. so dad came... then said we were gonna go to the mandir (temple) since it woulda been my dada ji's (grandfather on dads side) birthday today... he died bout a year ago... so yea... i can't even remember the last time i went to the mandir.. man, hadda be over a year ago... but yea, that was weird going there... the construction is still going on... its been forever!! but whats done so far looks great... i love the fact that they're making it look like a real mandir versus just a regular building which is so blah... it looks like real from india... its great... but yea... then ran some more errands... stopped at costco and finding nemo was on one of the tv's... so i took over and watched certain scenes like where marlin is following dory and she gets mad at him... and then the sharks part where they have their fish meeting... ahahahah... it was weird cause in the car before we got to costco i'd been repeating that line over and over... "fish are friends... NOT food!!" with the aussie accent and all.... ahahahaha... so i watched that.... man i love that movie..... must buy that, pirates of the caribbean and whale rider... come on peoples... you love me, right?!? come on, get those wallets out!!! haha....
but seriously peoples.... this is the quote of the day... errr... of the year... "fish are friends... NOT FOOD!" and then i made up one myself while eating chocolate chip cookie dough... "cookies are friends.... AND food!!" haha, im so funny.... but yea... got back home, watched the colts/chiefs game... and honestly can't even remember the big ole' plays from that game... but ohh yea... chiefs were down by a touchdown but couldnt come back... so colts won that one... then helped clean the house and such... and then since it was so nice outside i went out and jumped on the trampoline for a bit... we havent used that thing in ages... it feels weird using it... like a 20 yr old probably shouldnt be jumping on a trampoline... but its so much fun!!! haha, the kids next door were on their own trampoline looking at me funny.... but tis ok... im the coolest... then lets see... reread some of "the chosen" by chaim potok... really good book peoples... go read!! then ate..
*sports..* ok... so then picked up on the green bay/philly game... that was a pretty good one too.... philly caught up at the end... then overtime it went... man overtime is the coolest... but i dont like sudden death cause you can't get up and go anywhere cause someone might score... but yea... i was rooting philly the entire time being anti-green bay for so much of my life... and i kept thinking of that old green bay couple i talked to at costco a few weeks ago... i took joy in their sorrow over green bay... how mean... but yea... when favre threw that interception... man, i felt for him... from there out i was rooting for green bay... but by then it was too late and philly got a field goal and game over....
