So when we touched down at JFK the first thing I really noticed was a pickup truck.
It made me feel so good, fuck smart cars, trams and vespas.. and fuck paris.
I'm down with gas guzzling SUVs, non-smoking everything and the good old american dollar.
haha I'm flat broke, that's good. I'm on the island for a week... with no cash, woop!
where should I start.. hm let's go backwards, that's always fun..
We rented a moped bullshit whatever, got lost for two hours, it was rainning...
I lost control and we fell over and slid to a stop on the sidewalk,
I didn't hit anyone and Nicole and I only got scrapped up a bit.
the bike was kinda banged up and the fuckers charged me 200 euro on top of the rental charge.
oh this is also about the point where I ran out of money!
other than that, rome was awesome.
We saw the vatican and the colesium all that jazz,
the ruins gave me the same feeling as the psych center and the food was amazing.
we had an apartment to ourselves and internet!! except I fucked that up too, trying to play psp.
so I played solitare and minesweeper siqqqq
italians drive crazy and i'm insane for trying to drive a fucking moped in rome, but you live, you learn.
florence was cool during the day, but the hostel we stayed in kinda sucked.
the markets were cool except i got ripped off on a wooden pipe
this guy told me it uses water... lies! all lies! whatever it still looks cool and it'll work
the churches were crazyy and everything was how I pictured it to be.
It's pretty much the counter-strike map, no joke.
the only customs we had to deal with were on the train into italy
the alps were so fucking nice
snowboarding was a blast and Murren was ridiculously high in the alps
we had to take a train, then a gondula then another train then a SLED to get to our chalet!
It was most likely the collest place i'll ever see
before that we were in Basel for 5 days staying with Klaus!
He's got ikea everything and a hot young girlfriend, pretty good life.
new years was sweet drinking in the streets with swiss hooligans
we saw mad museums, drank beers in mcdonalds and made paper, nothing gets better than that
hm we were in paris before that.. it smells, and isn't that great.
NYC is much better, I miss the city alot while I was over there.
I'm really not looking forward to staying in New Paltz over the summer..
I want to be in the city and on the island, mostly at the beach..
This summer wasn't too horrible but I don't think I could do it again..
Hopefully I can get a sweet internship and have a nice excuse to be home.
Unless PDQ pays me more, I am really leaning in that direction..
its just not worth it, living upstate year round isn't what I want.
School is great and all my friends are around, but come winter/summer, everyone goes home.
We'll see how this semester pans out..
I have a ton of shit to do once I get back.
I am not looking forward to that..
but Happy Hour and Mountains? I can't wait.
