It's people like this that really rub me the wrong way... I'm the type to go about waving rainbow flags in the face of every anti-gay person on the planet, but come on now.  There has to be some level of tolerance.  I'm anti-gun, but you don't see me trying to deny the existence of them and totally ignore the fact that they could be used for their intended purposes.  I can't deny either the fact that this mentality towards homosexuals and blacks was part of the reason I left New Orleans.  I've declared myself for the most part neutral in the political scene, but I guess I have to admit some sort of liberal lean upon realizing that the extreme conservative manages to piss me off far more regularly than the extreme liberal.

Yeah, it was a small speech and she didn't think it was being recorded... so what?  Most of the hateful comments that were made to me when I was at Northrop Grumman came at a lower volume and out of earshot of the intended targets.  "you don't want to go there... that's where the black people  live..."     "stay away from the french quarter north of St. Ann... it's the gay district."  Admittedly this second part was a bit of a boundary to me... the gay district in the french quarter has a way of going wayyy over the top.  I'm gay-friendly, but a guy walking around in a bikini isn't about to turn me on any time soon.

So... yeah.  Let's be a little open-minded.. just a little bit... please?
