Gas Prices and so on

Me again Hey I don't hate Bush because its the oh so cool thing to do. I may have even voted for him 4 years ago (if I had been old enough). However not now because I don't feel that he has done what is best for America. (Which is my opinion but I have my reasons) More on that in a minute.
The gas prices went down because Saudi Arabia and OPEC increased oil production at the beginning of the summer. Not for anything Bush did. Not to mention that we have enough oil in our reserves to last us approx. 45 years. And we are adding to it everyday, however Bush refuses to dip into them. So we are getting a decent price because the Arab countries are letting us get it. And I don't know how many of you live in Southern Cali but we don't get good gas prices down here. Ok back to the first issue. . .First lets look at the tax cuts. There are a lot of reasons for cutting taxes however many poor families are not really reaping any benefits. No just jump on me with the Tax cuts for the rich argument stuff. Lets just take the estate tax for example. (The estate tax is a tax on things left to you by a deceased person) Bush justified this by saying that when someone dies poor american farmers loose their lands trying to pay this tax. One no farmers have ever lost their lands because of this tax and second only the top 2% of the nation or estates worth more than 3.5 million have to pay. So in essence "poor American farmers" really aren't being helped at all they weren't being hurt in the first place. Bush told a bold faced lie to garner support for this cut. Not to mention that more "poor Americans loose their lands at the hands of big corporations than anything else. Which by the way Bush and Chenney both got contributions from. hmm . . . Oh moreover a lot of Bush contributions are suspected to be illegal under campaign finance laws. I'm trying to avoid calling the President a cheat and a liar but its a hard won battle. Not to mention that Chaney's old corporation Haliburtton ripped off the country in Iraq and is due to go before the Supreme Court. Also Clinton (and no I am not glorifying him but this is fact) left a great deal of money for Social Security in a lock box (2.5 trillion dollars) and Bush even said in Chicago in September of 2000 that he would not touch it and by the end of his first year in office it was completely gone. The spending in Iraq is also reported to be costing the United States 3x less then what his tax cuts cost us. He uses Supply side and Reaganomics and history has repeated itself. Reagan and Bush Sr. used it and the economy went into the toilets. Clinton changed the policy and our economy was flourishing and then Bush reinstates the policies of his forefathers and we are in the crapper yet again. I have more to post but they tell me I am taking up too much room so I will have to continue this in another post

Here's the rest Yet another campaign promise that he broke . . . He said in 2000 that he would leave the gay marriage issue to the states and then what did he do . . . proposed an amendment that does the opposite and is discriminatory. Not to mention that it goes against every principle in the Constitution. Did you know that there is only one amendment in our history that takes away rights from the people or the states? Its the 18th and it was about prohibition . . .needless to say it was overturned 14 years later. Bush has a problem learning from the mistakes of people before him. Also have you noticed that Bush has infringed on every right we have as citizens . . . except the 2nd.(right to bear arms) Which is interesting because in a lot of places gun deaths are on the rise. I'm not going to do the Patriot Act again but look it up and read it. I have its ridiculous.(Have fun its very long) Oh and Gortz we have not had an attack as big as September 11 since Pearl Harbor in 1941. So to say that we haven't had another attack is kinda moot because we aren't attacked that often. France for example experiences terrorism constantly as does Israel and Palestine. What makes our death more important than theirs? If you say America is better and that is why then you are very ignorant of our history. But if you must say it I will respond to that when it comes up. Scholars aren't wrong that often . . . In fact scientist and scholars warned us that Russia would build nukes very quickly after WW2 and they did, If we had listened to them then the Cold War could have been less severe and the wars stemming from it could have been prevented. Anyway I'm very passionate about this so excuse me if I've offended you but if I have then maybe you'll think about who you are voting for. Lastly if I am being accused of merely going with the crowd then I can say this of those who aren't, are you sure you're not just doing this to stand out and be different. And being different is fine but try to focus on policies, you can be different and be smart too. Gortz though you have moved you should still know me well enough to know I don't just follow the crowd.
