Nice weekend
My 10-10 shift had only minor complications. Sunday I took B. and the baby into San Antonio, and we had a good time. The service was great. I always relate most to the sermons pertaining to the story of Jacob (read the book). I think it's amusing that, this being said, my cats name (given by the shelter) was actually "Jacob", before I changed it to Salem. Coincidence or not, it's interesting to note.
We would have gone to the second service, which was actually going to be a surprise 67th (or 68th, I don't remember) bday for Pastor, but me and B. had to head back home to visit a friend from my work. I hope the party went well. He definitely deserves it. I believe he was also being presented with an honorary Doctorate from some prestigious university in Israel (I probably fucked up the details, but it was a pretty big deal).
I bought some mexican candy again even though I always hate it, tried some, and gave the rest to the army of mexican children that live in the neighborhood. I explained to them that their candy looks so good, but sadly my tastes whe it comes to candy are "gringa" (slang for "white-girl") through and through. lol The candy really is interesting, and I like some of it. It's hard to explain what it's like. If anyone from back in MA wants to try some, let me know, and I'll mail you some. It's dirt cheap!
My classes were fabulously boring today, but after school I bought a couple new bed-sets and a futon cover that look real nice so my "day off" (from work) wasn't completely wasted. Tonight I plan on eating cereal, watching Raw, and then doing laundry, deepcleaning my apartment and taking a looong bath before going to bed.
