I think taking care of us and making sure we didn't get into any real trouble makes up for the accident. However, I will be needing those notes, and will need to secure a copy of the notes from Potions if I can't convince Professor Slughorn to either reiterate what was said in class or for him to make me up a set of notes for missing his lesson.

Sure. I have Potions notes - very detailed ones - that I can lend you. I do take good notes, I'm just hopeless at the practical aspect of the class.
