you would. you. would. DATE NIGHT FIC. i am squealing.
I love how you write their back-and-forth, and the tension that isn't really about them, but just the whole situation and how they're handling it, how Louis maybe complies with management easier and Harry just wants so much. The whole passage about how Harry knows he's good at showing Louis he loves him but doesn't know if he's good at reassuring Louis is just beautiful and hit in all the right places, and wow, wow, wow. These boys. You are going to kill me.
Just, ugh, this whole thing hits the perfect balance of easy comfort between them and that nervousness too, because obviously everything is okay, and they love each other, and there is absolutely no doubt about that, but that doesn't mean they know how to handle all of this, and you depict that so well. And ugh. It's the DATE NIGHT. Train concert. The restaurant. I can't.
Also, I can't even articulate why, I don't think, but this line, amongst Harry's thoughts - I love you for loving me so much you left the dark chocolates with caramel that you know are my favorite - just, asljdslhfkdfhsdljsds, THIS WHOLE FIC IS HONESTLY SO CUTE EVEN WITH THE SADNESS OF THE SECRECY, BUT THIS CUTE BIT REALLY GOT TO ME.
AND HARRY TAKES A PICTURE TO REMEMBER IT. AND HE CAN BE STUPID ABOUT IT. 'CAUSE THEY ARE YOUNG AND STUPID AND IN LOVE. /dead
