THIS WAS PERFECT. Better than I could have imagined. I knew my prompt was specfic (sorry!) but this came out exactly as I wanted it, if not better.

She fuming, absolutely livid. Her dads will sue the school and Mr. Tanaka for violating the first amendment; that’ll show them. It is completely unfair to punish her for being the best person on debate team; it’s not Rachel’s fault if she is exceedingly talented in multiple areas.

I loved these two lines. Violating the first ammendment, amazing.

& How she got asked to leave her girl scout troop, being disqualified from a practice debate, Puck whispering in her ear... I love all the little things you put in this story, I feel like thats what makes it so great. ANYWAY, if I haven't made it obvious enough, I love this and thank you thank you thank you for writing it!

Also, just a quick note, in certain types of debate (namely Public Forum or Parliamentary, both of which are partner debates), you can interrupt another person's speech, even when it is their turn to make a point (not just during crossfire), but this is generally because of personal insult or the other speaker breaking the rules (the first is known as Point of Personal Preference, the second Point of Order - in Parliamentary Debate ( ... )
