Sponsors actually give a damn about hacker sexism, film at 11
Apparently no one told Sqoot that sponsors have gotten good at pulling their support when people say sexist crap in public in the past few weeks (image of their original hackathon invite ).
Here's an article going over the backlash and the nonpology that resulted (and the backlash against the nonpology - it's pretty thorough). I think it's also being given airtime on Radio Boston this afternoon (show is 3 - 4 PM EST, you can listen online at WBUR's livestream, or go here to listen afterward), but I'm not certain - I'll update later when I find out for sure.
