We sure are cute for two ugly people.

There was the new year. The always amusing board at work eagerly anticipated the holiday.

Tony is home but I don't see him nearly enough. Or evidently nearly enough of him when I do see him.

I've had an interesting run of the winter so far. I scratched my cornea at 4AM somehow a few weeks ago and ended up going to urgent care to have my eyeball dilated. I was in urgent care again on Sunday because I hurt my back doing a one legged squat with a twist in work out class. Soon they will assume that I'm just addicted to pain medication and stop treating me. After the eye thing I looked like Marilyn Manson for like three days. I had to wear sunglasses inside and looked like a jerk.

Ian and Rebecca and Zev and I went up to Duluth for Cloe's 12th birthday, despite the poor weather. This was a great bar/restaurant called Thirsty Pagan Brewing, I believe.

It was a pool party. Cloe's teeth are almost perfectly straight after only 4 months in braces. Kids are made of play-doh.

Zev lied, so he grew a breadstick nose. Then he ate it.

Who's my classy lady?

There were many pool shenanigans. I told Cloe I would swim, but that was before I got a big hole in my eye, so instead I just took pictures.

All of her friends are lovely geeks, the one on the left had an interesting discussion with us about Final Fantasy. Rock.

Cloe the fish.

I need to remember the tempeh reuben at Hard Times when I get a 'kraut craving.

Christmas Eve day coffee with Audrey was good fun. We blabbered on about things and I got a caffeine buzz. whee!

She took a picture of me, which was nice because people rarely do. At least comparatively.

At Chrissy's stepfather's house on Christmas night, he was flipping channels and accidently hit the soft core porn channel. I had to record the uncomfortable moment, thus making it last longer. It's what I do.

Jimmy is a keeper, that's for sure.

Boogie loves flatware. He has to hold it with his mouth because he doesn't have thumbs.

I had my ten year reunion. It was supposed to start at 7PM, Ian and I got there at 7:30 and were the only ones there for at least a half hour. I didn't take nearly enough pictures when everyone did arrive because I felt self-conscious about being a weirdo taking pictures of a bunch of people who probably didn't remember me very well. I found out later that the organizer had put $8,000 dollars on her credit card with only the vaguest hopes that people would show up and pay her back. They came out at the end of the night with $8,023 dollars.

Susie is Marshall, which requires constant child-like joy and wonder and Marshall is Susie, which requires pointy boobs.

No one from high school reads my blog, so I'm not even posting all of the photos that I got, but this one of Rick C. was pretty good.

Peder Swanson told me a great story about the day he moved into our neighborhood. Becky and I were both on time outs for some reason, so we were sitting on opposite sides of the street playing with each other from a distance. He later told me that I'm probably the reason he's gay. There was a lot of drinking.

Molly's boyfriend is pretty awesome, and his sons are fun too. Kyle? was talking about his brother Will and explained that Will doesn't ever plan on going into the army because sometimes they tell people to "fire at Will". hardy har har.

I got to see Becky for one day outside of the reunion day. It's the first time I've seen her in over 2 years, so it was really precious time to me. I don't think she'll ever move home which makes me sad because I miss her and want her nearby, but people choose the lives they lead for reasons and I have to trust that her choices make her happy. She just made Captain in the airforce. Exciting!

I had Jacquie's mom cut and color my hair for the reunion. Fun! I also have my braces now. They aren't terribly obvious, what with being invisalign, but they still make me self conscious and drooly, and give me a lisp.

I'm a classy lady.

I had breakfast with a bunch of girls who I haven't seen in 12 years.

Jacquie plays with an ice ball.

Marshall's Run At The Dog show was super duper fun. I told him they're like the B52's except for the fact that Marshall can sing. They have a song about a lampshade hat.

Shirts interfere with a proper rocking out.

Chrissy and Jimmy didn't care to celebrate the New Year this year, so it was just a visit to eat their vegan muffalettas and then home again home again for movies and probably lots of doing it.

I bought a cake for 2009's birthday.

I had planned on going to Sam's new year's party, but I had too many people to bring with me, so I just stayed at home with them. Stephanie, someone I haven't seen in approximately 18 years came in from Denver and bunked with us for a few days. It was absolutely lovely seeing her. She is a ceramic artist with big guns. Her arms are not the hammer.

Fung's nice hat.

I found this giant teapot for $5.99 at Value Village. It is the greatest thing ever. I like to wear everything I love like a hat at least once.

Everyone loves Boogie hugs.

Katie remains concerned throughout the party.

Heather is PREGNANT. In this picture even. I am going to be an Auntie! yay!

Jacquie shows off the goods before leaving early with her ex fiancee. Weirdness.

Ian rides a PREGNANT Heather.

Ice skating at the Depot! For fun!

It's like we're flying!

Emily is now a filmmaker. She's doing a documentary on a drag queen who performs at the 90's so she will be back in town around the end of the month. We are going to have a "Who's That Girl" viewing party.

This is facial hair porn for Ian. I walked up to him and literally said "Can I take a picture of your mustache for my boyfriend?"

A post-skating trip to Barbette's for Pom Fritte.

Katie Crawford, back lit beautifully.

Emily plays with fire.

Ian with Jendeen, the drummer for All the Pretty Horses. She was drumming in one of her many jazz bands at The Times in Nordeast.

Me playing with my camera.

I look severe and jaundiced.

We had drinks with some of Ian's old school friends recently, that was fun. Here's one of them on boob-attack mode.

Ian and his old friend Janice.

Wheee!

Lee Weston, wife, and Coral Love.

Coral looks only slightly less like Richard Nixon than she did when we met her in the spring.

Coral and Boogie

Rich's new baby girl Alice at John and Amy's hot drinks party.

Happy new year, babies and gentlemen. I will try to heal quickly so we can hang out. Love love love.
