What are the first things you look for in a partner? erm, when I first meet someone I'm probably attracted to them on a physical/style level and need to relate to them on a value/political level, conversation level
How do other people (parents, friends, etc.) affect the kinds of partners you choose? They don't.
Have you ever been in love? IN love, No.
What do you seek from love? Companionship? Intimacy? Passion? All of the above, I should be able to predict every reaction to my actions and still by surprised by the person I'm in love with... if that makes sense
What is the importance of sex in a relationship? It needs to match the mental, emotional and friendship level in the relationship.
What is the best way to handle a conflict in a relationship? How do you actually handle conflicts? Head on, approach things before they become a conflict and are still just a matter of confrontation. I try to live by that, but until I feel comfortable with someone, I tend to be afraid to be too assertive and scare someone away that I really care for just because they've done one thing that pissed me off.
What experiences, if any, does a person have to go through to truly experience love? I have no idea. My brother and I were just talking about how there is difference for having love for someone and being in love with someone though. A lot of sudden experiences can create love for someone without actually growing love from seeds.
What is the most important kind of love? familial, unconditional.
How important is love in your life? it's something I strive to develop in my friendships, relationships and self, but nothing that I really think about all too frequently.
