Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. -- Psalm 2:8
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." -- Mark 16:15
We went to see End of the Spear on Saturday night, and then watched a documentary about that story tonight, and discussed it afterwards. Naturally, I suppose, this led to a discussion of the Great Commission from Matthew 28.
Now I've got to say that this has kind of been on my mind for two or three weeks now. And to be honest, I've kind of fallen away from really getting in the Word and such and am trying to get back, but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. Anyways.
The guy who had a huge impact on me coming to Christ in March was with us, and he said that this was one of the things he was focusing on, because he had never gone out of his way to tell people about the Gospel. Obviously, he'd helped people and had an impact on people's lives, but always because of some prior relationship or something like that. So, it got me thinking even more, considering the role that Brian has played in my life.
My question is, how do you (personally, other people's stories, or conceptually) step out of your comfort zone and share the Word? How did you get to that point where you could step out into the world and not hesitate to share His Word? I mean, I have talked to people about Christ - and it's really, really cool - but it's always been with that safety net there - they've asked me, or I know they're a Christian, something like that. I kind of feel like the Holy Spirit's guiding or preparing me to step out farther, take away the safety net.
Seeking,
Michele

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "You know that I love You." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." -- John 21:15
