"If the Lord delights in a man's way,
he makes his steps firm;
though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
-- Psalm 37:23-24
"In vain you rise early and stay up late
toiling for food to eat - for He grants sleep to those He loves." -- Psalm 127:2
"How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!" - Psalm 147:1
I almost forgot to tell this story! ... I was sitting in bed and thinking about a bunch of stuff and so I got down to do a few things and this eventually popped into my head.
A few months ago, a friend told me about how one night, he had the choice between studying for an exam the next day or spending quiet time with the Lord. He chose to spend the quiet time, went to sleep, and took the exam the next morning with minimal preparation - read: no studying. The result? 103% on the exam. God really does take care of us. So, I tried that last night with physics. I studied for about 1.5 hours before Navs, then another 40 minutes or so after Navs, and I spent the rest of the night relaxing, listening to music, reading my Bible, etc. Last night, trying to study, nothing was clicking. I didn't get it, didn't understand it. This morning, everything clicked. Everything worked, things I hadn't even studied yesterday came back as if I'd just talked about them five minutes before. I don't know the results yet, but it doesn't matter. I'm trying to trust God more - to let go of stuff - and that totally worked - He caught me and raised me up to somewhere I probably couldn't have gotten if I had tried and stayed up all night. God is so good! ... I'm gonna keep trying this trusting thing. ;)
Anyways, just wanted to share!
Securely His,
Michele
