Things were definitely overwhelming at first, I was ready to pack up and come home about 3 or 4 times in the first couple weeks. But then I realized that admitting defeat and crawling home with my tail between my legs in preparation for all the "I told you so's" wasn't what I wanted at all. Plus I love Bruce, and we struggled for so long to finally be together that I knew this was what I really wanted, even if it was gonna be hard at first.
So I stayed and I'm trying to fit in, find new friends, and hope for the best. As of right now all I can think is that the worst is over and I have so much to look forward to. My goals for the next year are to get a new job that makes more money and has insurance (I think I have a cavity), get an apartment for Bruce and I (since we're living in separate employee housing...which is cheap but sucks), get as many people as possible to come visit, and try to save up so I can come home a couple times too.
When I last spoke with Nana before I left she said you and Lee were doing well, so I'm very happy for you and I wish you the best, and good luck in school. She also said that Craig's girlfriend was pregnant, which totally shocked me, but hopefully it will be a good thing for him and he will be a great dad. There are definitely no plans for babies for me in the next few years, Bruce is the only baby I can handle right now.
This is definitely an exciting time for all of us, we finally get to see what everyone will do with their adulthood...move, get married, start a family, go to school.... I just hope that everyone is happy, and that we can all try to stay in touch.
