new rule: constructive criticism

It was brought to our attention that the increase in unsolicited constructive criticism on the meme is making a number of people uncomfortable. After discussing it, we've decided the following. 

• Unsolicited concrit is now against the rules. Concrit that does not follow the guidelines below will be deleted ASAP. We ask that authors and readers who spot unsolicited concrit give us a poke over at the Ask the Mods page. 
• Readers who wish to leave concrit must first ask the author if they are willing to receive it and how. If the author doesn't want concrit, they are within their right to say no. If an author is uncomfortable with replying in the negative, they can chose not to reply and that will act as a no. If the author is open to concrit, it is again within their right to chose how they receive criticism (in the comments, through PM, or through email). 
• The only exception to this rule is if the author outright states that they welcome concrit. Authors who know they want or are open to concrit are encouraged to say so.

To be clear, concrit has a place in fandom and will not be banned from the community. We are merely trying to implement guidelines that respect both the writer and the reader.
