I'm planning to close the first prompt post once it reaches six or seven thousand comments. Livejournal's comment limit is ten thousand, so there's plenty of room for fills. This isn't set in stone, though. I'm open to suggestions.

What do you guys think?

I think that's a good plan. I've never really participated in a kink meme before; are later prompts themed or what? Idk how this works.

Not necessarily themed. But prompt posts are usually closed a bit early to leave room for comments. Say, months from now, a newcomer to the meme finds a prompt that she wants to write fic for. If the post is full, then that person would have no place to post the fill.

Alternatively, room is left for the random squeeing and cheerleading. Hope this helps. :D

Just wanted to say sorry if I came off as cold or bitchy or baity in the other thread, but I'd seen that kind of sentiment expressed in other memes and didn't want this one's growth compromised while the fantastic fics were still rolling in. :)

I promise to be a good lil' anon now and go back to cheerleading our awesome writers.

Only for a little while. Round two will go live one week after round one closes.

I wanted to know, are you going to be opening a new prompt post in another week? Because this last one filled up in two days, and it seems like the waiting time between prompt posts shouldn't be longer than the time available to prompt. I dunno, that's just me, maybe I'm just bitter than I missed prompting entirely the second round.
