Boggart is? Explain. PLEASE NOTE: A Boggart assumes the shape of a *creature* or physical object. This is not the same as a Dementor Effect - it cannot be something vague like 'loneliness' or 'sadness' or 'darkness'. It must have shape and form. Despite her caring for and struggling for their rights, Ginny's greatest fear is being turned. Her boggart is herself, as a werewolf.
Patronus--can they produce one? What is it and why does it have that form? Again, please note, as per canon - a Patronus is a *creature* of some kind. We have been very flexible as to allow fictional creatures to be Patronuses, but it cannot be an inanimate object. A Beater's Bat cannot be a Patronus. She can produce a Patronus due to what she learned in Dumbledore's Army. It takes the form of a horse, symbolizing freedom and strength, loyalty and perseverance.

Personality
Include strengths, weaknesses, quirks, general outlook on life.

Ginny is a very capable witch, quick to learn when she wants to. Able to cast household charms with little thought and as well as being able to defend herself aptly. She is a strong-willed, compassionate, loyal witch with a quick temper and a touch of stubbornness. Ginny is an avid activist and believes that no one should be looked down on for what they are. While she plans to eventually marry and start a family, she won't settle for someone that doesn't believe in the same things she does nor will she tolerate anyone trying to curb her career goals. Ginny still enjoys a good game of Quidditch, both watching and playing, when she can.

Family
Parents? Arthur and Molly Weasley
Siblings? Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George and Ron.
Family dynamics--do they get along? Opposite sides of the war? Accept their child's magical talent? Pressure for 'pure blood' marriage? Ginny gets along with all her brothers, though she is closer to Ron and the twins. She tends to look up to her older brothers and indulgently puts her parents concerns over marriage and family to rest with vague reassurances.

Lifestyle
Occupation: A healer at St. Mungo's. Runs a secret Werewolf clinic after hours.
Residence: Flat above WWW
Financial Status: She earns a fair salary at St. Mungo's but galleons are pinched tightly since she puts most of her earnings toward the clinic.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time: include any affiliations since Hogwarts, jobs, family life, significant events in the character's recent history, how was this character affected by the war, how does your character feel about the present political climate?

Ginny started at Hogwarts one year after her brother, Ron. While she had been very excited to finally be going to school like her brothers, Ginny's first year was marred by fear and suspicion when Chamber of Secrets was re-opened. Her loneliness took a turn when she discovered a magical journal amongst her possessions, a journal that corresponded with her, pretending to give her friendship and reassurance while carefully manipulating her against her own will. Harry managed to save her life but the taint of Tom Riddle was something that would cement her determination to fight for 'what was right'.

Her second and third years at Hogwarts showed Ginny finding her own friends and making her own way, eventually accepting Neville Longbottom's invitation to the Yule Ball and having the time of her young life. The fourth and fifth years were spent studying, playing Quidditch and dating, including Harry Potter but that relationship ended when the Trio made the decision to actively hunt down the horcruxes.

Dumbledore's death signaled an end to any true childhood experience at Hogwarts but, with her parents fearful urging, Ginny stayed on when some of her fellow students left or transferred away. When the war finally came to Hogwarts proper, Ginny was ready to defend it and her family but she found her true calling when she was helping the experienced mediwitches during the fight. As soon as she was able, Ginny sought training at St. Mungo's where she was given a spot in the trainee program that lasted approximately six months. Seeking to further her education, Ginny left St. Mungo's and took up studies to become a Healer. During this time, Harry defeated Voldemort and Ginny began working with Professor Snape in the care of werewolves.

Logic finally prevailed over passionate interest and Ginny began doing private work for witches and wizards who wanted to avoid going to St. Mungo's. The idea of opening a werewolf clinic was furthered by Professor Snape's interest and funding but put on hold when her application to finish her training as a Healer at St. Mungo's was approved.

Her work with werewolves brought Ginny into constant contact with Professor Snape and a begrudging acceptance of each other formed, with Ginny helping Professor Snape when he rescued Lupin's pack from near death, nursing them back to health and working to help Juneau regain her eyesight after Greyback viciously attacked her. With Professor Snape's help and potions, she was able to reconstruct Juneau's face enough to enable her to wear magical eyes and regain her sight.

Retaining employment at St. Mungo's gave Ginny the financial ability to pursue her dream of a werewolf clinic and, with her brother's acquiescence, opened a secret clinic under the WWW shop where she learned to make Wolfsbane from Professor Snape. Finances, however, are very tight and when Draco Malfoy accidentally discovered the clinic, she elaborated enough on their financial woes that he chose to help.

(Regarding the Draco/Ginny kiss - I would be willing to complete that thread and any other open threads remaining. I have not read every single post for Ginny but I am actively doing so now and will do so for all the family and friends to be sure on specifics.)

How does he/she feel about the more infamous events and people in the world around him/her? Harry Potter and his victory over Voldemort? Dumbledore and his murder by Severus Snape? Lucius Malfoy's pardon and book publication? Snape's pardon and appointment back to his old job at Hogwarts? The Registry? Werewolf Remus Lupin's job at Hogwarts? Bellatrix' capture, insanity defense, followed by her "cure" and release from St. Mungo's? etc.

Ginny was as happy as anyone could be when Harry defeated Voldemort. Until she learned of why Severus Snape killed Dumbledore, she condemned him but now that the truth is out, she has accepted that things were put into motion that had to be completed. Malfoy's pardon and book were disgusting displays of how socially unequal things are in the Wizarding World. Ginny is glad that at least Hogwarts isn't discriminating against werewolves by allowing Remus Lupin to work there.

What plots would you like to pursue with this character? What short and long-term goals does the character have for his/her future?
Short term - Working toward supporting the clinic and being active in the work toward gaining their equal rights, spending time with family and friends, continuing to learn more about lycanthropy in an effort to assist in finding a cure. Long term - She'd eventually like to find someone to share her life with and see a cure for lycanthropy.

Once you start playing the game and get a feel for your fellow players and characters, assuming the interaction is favorable, how long could you anticipate staying with this character and this game? What is your usual pattern of longevity in role-playing games? I've always stayed with an RPG until it has closed and have been watching Fiery Inception for quite some time, so I am familiar with the longevity requirements and have no anticipation of leaving anytime soon.

What is your usual pattern of availability and play-time for a character and game which you enjoy? Daily availability

Now that we've got a sense of your characterization, this is where you get to really showcase your writing style! Give us everything you've got! Remember--this sample must be a 'fresh' sample relevant to our game and the current setting.

Sample Journal Entry:

[Private to Self]

What is wrong with me? How could I have let Malfoy kiss me! Bugger all, it wasn't as if I was deliberately looking for another way to complicate my life. Well, there's nothing for it now. Bloody Rita Skeeter and her skulking about - I still want to know how she knew I was in the building. Honestly, the way that woman slinks about, you'd think her animagus was a rat, not a beetle!

Maybe I can plead temporary insanity. Merlin! How could that idiot forget what time it was?

Sample Third Person Writing:

The cauldron did not need her to stir it one more time just because she couldn't stop thinking about the Prophet article so Ginny found herself back at her desk trying to hold her temper in check as she sifted through one horrid owl after another, finally dumping the stack in the trash bin with a loud grumble.

A noise outside the door made her freeze in mid-rise from her chair, the thought of the Skeeter witch somehow finding the clinic made her blood run cold. The werewolves needed the clinic, needed the potions and medical care desperately - if she'd inadvertently put that at risk… Ginny pushed that train of thought away as she quietly approached the door, laying her ear against it only to sigh in relief at the sound of a cat tipping over a bin in the alley.

"Jumping at shadows now," she chuckled weakly as she tucked her wand away, deciding to check in on the shoppe above. Taking the stairs two at a time, Ginny slipped into the back room and glanced down one last time to make sure she didn’t have potion ingredients splattered on her robes before she opened the door to the front shop.
