"I still don't see why she has to come to our wedding."

And again, the dreaded subject returned.

Eames heaved a sigh and ran a hand through his neatly combed hair before gazing over at Arthur. The other man, fitted nicely into a suit, was seated on the bench that completed a relaxed, garden scenery for their wedding location. A dissatisfied expression masked his face, drawing his brows together. He shifted position under Eames' gaze.

"Cheyenne and I are only friends, darling. Please get that through your thick skull. We wouldn't want you thinking about that today." He strolled over and cupped Arthur's jaw. "I love you, and only you."

A small breath left the other's lips along with the gaze that once lingered on Eames' blue-green ones. Eames patted Arthur's cheek before leaning and and giving him a peck on the lips. "Arthur, I can't turn it back now. She's already here. It would be rude to chase her away." The eyes returned to him. "Yeah ... I suppose so."

The Englishman thumbed the corner of his husband-to-be's mouth. "Please don't be like this. Today's supposed to be wonderful. It's our day. Ours. Not anyone else's, and most definitely not Cheyenne's. Smile, alright, love?"

Arthur's lips curled into a small smile as he leaned over and gave Eames a quick peck on the lips in return. "Alright," he murmured. "I love you."

Eames grinned. "Love you too, darling. Now, if you would excuse me, I should be greeting the guests." Casting Arthur a wink, Eames moved away from his fiancé to Cheyenne, who he caught staring intently at them during their romantic gestures.

"Jealous?" he nearly purred as he drew near.

The blonde female, a stunning figure dressed in a short black dress that brought out every one of her defined curves out well, smiled at him. "Very," she answered, allowing the simply word to roll off her tongue. "I almost regret breaking up with you."

Eames chuckled lightly and gestured her to follow him to the family-permitted restroom. "Well, I got Arthur out of it. You got Fischer. I say we're on the same level." He flashed her a smile as he pushed open the door to the restroom. "Of course," she agreed, flicking her shoulder-length, curly blonde hair over her shoulder as she entered the secluded room.

Eames allowed the door to swing to a close behind him before making his way over to lean against the sink, which was opposite of where she was situated.

For a moment, the two shared knowing looks and smiles. Cheyenne was the first to break the silence. "You said you wanted to run by your vows by me?"

Eames gave a curt nod. "If you don't mind."

A smile stretched on her lips. "I don't mind."

Arthur knew he should be greeting his own guests. He also knew that following Eames and eavesdropping on his conversation with Cheyenne wasn't a proper thing to do. But he couldn't help it; his curiosity and jealousy that welled in his stomach was getting the best of him.

At the current moment, he was situated outside of the family-permitted restroom. He heard Eames say something, then cleared his throat, and started again. The first few words were faded, but once Arthur stepped closer to the door and nearly pressed his ear against it, he heard the words.

"- remembered when I first met you. I know it's childish to believe in love at first sight, but that was what it was. You ... just drew me in, like no one else had." Eames chuckled dryly, and Arthur frowned.

"When I met you, I was still in the process of getting over my past lover, but every time I would talk or see you, I would forget her. I would forget every trouble that I had. Even though you were rather reluctant to my obvious flirting, though." There was a sigh before Eames began again.

"I held onto you for weeks, thinking that I had a chance. After all, you did, and still do, intrigue me. At that time, all I was focused on was trying to get you to open up. You didn't smile often, and when you did, even if it was small, I felt my heart flutter. I felt as if I was falling for you all over again. Gradually, you became more open to me. We talked more. We saw each other more. And then, I finally asked you out on a date. You have no idea how happy I was when you agreed to go." A movement was heard- a shuffle of some sort, Arthur assumed.
