[found] arthur/eames - Arthur is dying but they have years together in limbo
Please help, this is doing my head in!
Arthur is shot on a job, dying. They have never been brave enough to act on the spark between them, and now it's too late. But Eames takes him down into limbo (or just many levels deep) and, that far down, they live out years together in the minutes that Arthur has left.
I didn't bookmark this because I was so devastated by the tragedy of it that I thought I would never be strong enough to read it again, but now I want to link to it.
Edited to add: Found, and it's And in the Morning Head for Home by SinOfPride. Approach with caution! It's a great fic, but obviously tragic from start to finish.
