found: arthur/eames, clueless!eames, cryptic!arthur, eames meets arthur's family
Okay, so I read this fic a while ago (2011/2012?), so it must have been one of the earlier ones in the fandom, and I'm pretty sure I read it on Livejournal.
I remember that Arthur was staying with his family (perhaps over the winter holidays, but maybe it was just a break from work?), and somehow he either invited Eames along, or Eames followed him there, I'm not entirely sure. I know that the entire family seemed kind of unsurprised to see Eames show up, and he felt like they were somehow testing him. The thing is, I think Eames couldn't quite figure out what was going on: why Arthur would allow him to meet his family, why the family knew about him, and why they were trying to make sure he was trustworthy. Arthur is pretty tight-lipped throughout the whole thing, but in the end it turns out that this was his way of showing Eames that he was seriously interested in him, and Eames finally understands what's happening, and they get together.
Does that sound familiar? I've been going through the "meet the family" tags in this community, but haven't been able to find it again.
