Found: A couple fics about crises within dreams
Hi! I've been looking for two fics for a while, with no luck. Here's what I can recall:
1. Arthur gets kidnapped in real life and tied to chair - he wakes up somehow blinded and fights his way out without being able to see anything, thinking he's still in a dream. He tries to do his Penrose stairs trick and actually throws a guy down a flight of stairs. Eames finds him just as he’s about to get shot trying to escape, but Arthur believes he’s still in a dream and struggles against Eames' attempts to help.
2. The team takes a job for a client who knows his wife is cheating on him - doing an extraction on the wife. Eames forges the wife's lover and starts having dinner with her. Arthur plays a waiter and puts a hand on Eames’ shoulder at an inopportune moment. Consequently, Eames gets lost in the forge and misplaces his whole act, thinking that he's having a secret and passionate love affair with Arthur the waiter. The mark (the wife) turns out to be on to them and playing with Eames, everything goes to shit, and Arthur gets shot. Eames goes a little nuts as Cobb tries to shoot Arthur out of the dream, thinking Arthur will really die.
