So these... curses. How often do they happen? Gonna need to know what to expect here after all, since I'm apparently not going anywhere soon.

Oh and Squall, why didn't you tell me there was a younger, angrier version of you hanging around?

the enemy of my enemy is my..., brb bothering squall, information gathering, cursed and not aware of it

Most of them last 24 hours, from midnight until midnight the next day. That's the usual pattern.

Sometimes the deities mix things up and make them last two. When they're feeling like they haven't been screwing us over enough already, that is.

Short term annoyances. Sounds easy enough to deal with.

And then there's the long-term consequences.

You get those with anything. I can deal with them.

You've never been cursed before?

Lucky you.

Besides, I figure it can't be any worse than some of things back home.

It depends on the curse. Some are just kind of stupid and annoying for awhile. Others make you look like an idiot for a day. Whether or not that's worse than what you're used to depends on the person, I guess.

If nothing here phases you, then congrats. Your life is even more messed up than this city.

Let's put it this. You ever heard of time compression?

Nope. Doesn't ring any bells.

The way it would have worked was by compression all of time into a single point. Past, present, and future.

Sounds like something out of a bad sci-fi novel. What's that have to do with anything?

Reply

It's hard to get worse than that.

If you say so. I could think of plenty of stuff worse than that.

Guess we'll just have to see, won't we?
