[ It might well have been, but you didn't have to TELL them that! What the hell were you thinking?! Ugh! Don't answer that, I know what you were thinking... Just, WHY?! ]

[ I didn't call you cruel, yet, but it's certainly tempting! I'm asked WHY you did it! They didn't need to know. It wasn't our business to tell them HIS thoughts, that's for HIM to do when and if he decides to do so! ]

[ I did... I'm not saying you're wrong there, just that it wasn't right to tell them. You know not everyone has the abilities we do, we shouldn't be taking advantage of them. Thoughts are usually such private things, you know this because you guard yours when someone you don't know is trying to enter your mind. I felt it when we arrived.

The fact is, who you let hear your thoughts is a personal choice and if you REALLY felt they needed to know that strongly it could have waited for a better time. ]

[ Taking advantage, is it? You were in there, Burn. He's fallen beyond the graces of normalcy. I doubt he cares. And from his memories, it's clear that he's aware of it.

Damn human. I can never forgive it. He has every chance to be happy and refuses it for a mad dream. I hate it! ]

[ Glaring off in the direction of the glass smashing, then right back at Keith again ]

[ I'm not disagreeing with you there, but I don't believe he wants to be like that even if he IS aware. A victim of circumstance, not of choice.

Keith... I know what you're saying, and how you feel. I'm not thinking or feeling much different, it's frustrating and sad for him and them... My point remains though, it didn't need to be said then and there in such a way. Perhaps they already knew it anyway. ]

[ They definitely did, with how easily it was accepted. However, he does turn to Burn directly after that. ]

[ So what do you want me to do? Go and apologize? Wipe their memories, fill them with happy dancing ponies or whatever those humans find funny? ]

[ Any other time, this would have been funny. But this is Keith, and the venom behind his words is almost tangible. ]

[ Scowling at Keith then, really not liking the tone of those thoughts as he throws his hands up slightly in a kind of frustration, making no sign to leave however ]

[ I'm not saying that either. There's not much that can be done now, what I'm saying is we don't know what kind of consequences might come of you telling them that in the heat of the moment like that. ]

[ Sighing then, shaking his head. ]

[ But it's been said and done now... I don't think there's anything we can do except wait and see what, if anything, comes of it... ]

[ It's none of our business. It was none of our business then, and it certainly isn't now. ]

[ Realizing how his temper is exploding, he clenches his fists to his sides, turning his head to look away and closes his eyes ]

[ I don't regret it. If their minds were anything to go by, they're strong enough to withstand this. All of them. ]

[ But then, he looks almost depressed, moving his arms around his chest, and bending slightly, as all the memories of the mind they were in flash through his own thoughts. He's trying to purge them away from his memories, and he shivers, visibly disturbed by them all ]

[ How... how could they still believe in such a destroyed human who feels... nothing...? Nothing the way they'll want...? Ever? ]

[ He looks like he was about to retort before pausing, staring at Keith for a moment and frowning. It suddenly seemed to make sense to Burn then as he lets his arms fall to his sides once more ]

Keith...

[ So there had been more to it then Keith just feeling frustrated at things. Subaru's mind had really disgusted him on some level, scared him even. Sighing, Burn steps over to Keith carefully, a hand raising to rest it at the back of his head before pulling him to him in a protective hug. He'd remove that fear, melt it away with his own feelings, their own memories and emotionally wrap Keith in a kind of warm comfort if he'd let him do so. He felt bad for Subaru, and his friends of course, but he didn't want to see Keith like that and frankly he was more important to Burn. ]

[ People believe in what they believe in. Even if it's a blind faith it's still faith... I can't think badly of them for it. ]

[glacialis]

[ He's guarded, from the very beginning, and even as Burn comes close, the shields around his mind are strong. Because he knows he'd be able to see, know very well that he'd know what to do and he hated being so vulnerable.

And then he doesn't protest, turning to clutch the blond, his hands on his jacket and then, on making his thoughts adjust to the fact that this is Burn, he relaxes, burying his face in his shoulder, trying not to shiver ]

[ Disgusting. Everything about it was disgusting... ]

[ He doesn't mean the people. He means the thoughts and the mental state of that mind. ]
