Californication

Living in Berlin can sometimes make a person forget what true sunlight is. For all its faults i am so happy to be here. I never thought LA would be a refreshing contrast to anywhere else, but with its 1001 vegan/veggie restaurants and supermarkets, friendly chat-with-you-while-waiting-at-a-corner people... damn... I am sold.
As for the flight over... it was in a word... weirdness...
On the TXL->Heathrow leg I got bumped from an aisle seat to a middle one when it was revealed that the poor guy at the window had profound claustrophobia. Later, I met the owner of a pretty large music software firm in Berlin who (maybe) wants to offer me a job when he gets back from India. He was a more than a bit loopy when the conversation turned into the philosophical. But other than the hour long talk regarding Hindu/Moonie 4th dimensional spiritual evolution, he was a pretty nice guy. (Tho, of course i have preconceptions, i actually have no issues with his hippiness; i just get cranky when anyone tries to prosteltyze.)
Heathrow->LAX I got seatbumped again when a guy asked if we could trade so that he could be near his family. This was not so bad except someone in our row had a _very_ sour stomach for a few hours in the middle of the trip. Thank jebus that the airplane blankie proved an effective air filter.
So, that brings me to today. I slept around 8hrs last nite (tho i woke up alot) and had a great setan lunch with Ali. My eyes still feel like they are swimming in my head and i can not concentrate worth a damn, but i think with one more good night sleep the worst should be over.
Due to the magic of wengophone (a skype like thing/less invasive/way cool/use it) i was even able to video chat with my Squeeze before i took off today.
Life is good. I am totally catatonic. Also, i think i'm babbling... Ok... done now.
