Let me tell you about Homestuck...
Aradia!
Personality: Before her death, Aradia was a curious, slightly sarcastic, spirited young troll with a passion for Live-Action Roleplaying and digging around in caves. Her species exists as a race of feral aliens who live according to a caste-based social structure that is indicated and sorted out by the colors of their blood. Aradia sits on the lowest-known rung of the ladder (excluding lesser-seen "mutant" blood), making her a land-dwelling troll with a fairly unassuming way of life that isn't tied down with the responsibilities of those with higher blood colors. Lower-blooded trolls are thusly given a little more leeway because of their status as the society's peasantry.

She was a troll who was known for her keen eye for things that interested her-- whether they be simple or out of the ordinary. As previously mentioned, she liked to explore ruins and artifacts with her Lusus, sort of channeling the hobby of her fictional idol: Troll Indiana Jones with a stylish hat to boot. Her weapon at the time was even a whip to drive the point further home. To fall into the out of the ordinary category, Aradia had a fascination with the dead and the occult that will be touched upon later. Her imagination liked to run here and there, becoming incredibly good for coming up with ideas for her FLARPing escapades with Tavros Nitram. She never really cared for the caste system, content with where she sat on the ladder and still handling everything with grace and poise as it came.

Well, that was all good until plot happened and her best friend at the time was taken control of and proceeded to blast her into the next timeline. Figuratively speaking, of course. It just killed her... and her Lusus. As a result of Sollux's Mind Honey Incident, Aradia was reduced to a spirit who was basically robbed of all of her emotions. She would literally have to be walked through how to laugh and would casually dismiss any kind of swell of emotion as something that she simply couldn't remember. Instead of being "happy" or "sad" or "angry", she instead turned to being 0k with everything. The one emotion she could remember, however, was boredom. Aradia would frequently destroy things simply because she could and had nothing better to do with her copious psychic powers (enhanced by her blood color as lower-blooded trolls have a higher amount of psychic prowess). Which as it was made pretty clear, breaking things happens to be the only thing that breaking things was the only thing that brought her pleasure anymore. Her curiosity was retained purely on a professional level, prompting her to seek out a code in the Frog Temple to give to Sollux. She even bothered to telekinetically keep the head of the temple's frog for her own use in her first prototyping but nothing more.

Aradia believes very much in the idea that everything happens for a reason. She doesn't particularly worry about the future and leaves everything up to what is meant to happen to everyone and everything around her-- even the apocalypse that would eventually destroy her race and her own death. She doesn't try to fight fate in any way and more or less tries to not question whatever happens for the sake of simplicity and the fact that it's not like anyone can really stop what time is going to lead to. A huge part of this comes from her ability to hear the voices of the dead that have been present since she was "very young" according to canon. The spirits can either be cooperative or combative depending on what they want and what she wants-- occasionally they agree, and sometimes they don't, resulting in mildly frustrating mental brushes with them. She has no control over what the spirits pick up for the Sylladex and keep for her to use in the future, further pushing the point that she really has no reason to doubt what will happen.

And that brings us to where she is pulled from. Aradia's soul possessed a robot created by Equius Zahhak and managed to sort of regulate her emotions and bring out some sides of her that disappeared when she was killed. She even uses exclamation points and smiles for a minute! However, this resulted in massive mood swings that may or may not have been a mistake on Equius' part. The most famous example is her ripping her heart out and proceeding to beat the crap out of Equius for programming some flushed (romantic) feelings into her make-up.

All a technicality, really.

Anyway, as time passes in the Soulbot, she seems to even out, occasionally doing horrible things like getting her revenge on Vriska by beating her and leaving her to bleed to death on the ground. But overall, she seems to not be as bored as her soul-self was outside of the tangible form-- though perhaps a mite more confrontational.

When she enters Johto, Aradia will-- obviously --be alive. Because of this, her personality will go back to the way it was before her death. Curious and adventurous, she will be interested in getting to know the people and places in Johto and perhaps get back to her archaeological roots. However, this doesn't come without its hang-ups. Aradia will still have a certain lack of enthusiasm and will become easily bored if she isn't busying herself with something. The lack of the voices in her head will ultimately be the root cause of why she easily loses interest in the mundane as she doesn't have anything to listen to or even bicker with over her fate. Taking another nod to her dead self, she will be prone to forgetting how to react to happiness/sadness/anger on occasion and might need a little bit of a push. Even with each distinct personality that she is given up to her pull-point, there has to be some kind of balance to make everything come together.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths!
♈ Aradia's number one trait when she was alive was curiosity! She liked to learn and explore and test her mind on the ancient things.
♈ Exploring is her game. Aradia will be keen on getting to know the places around her, trying to find the mysteries in everything that lives and breathes in Johto.
♈ She is pretty collected and gets along with most.

Weaknesses!
♈ Aradia can be kind of blunt when she wants to be. While she is by no means a no-nonsense troll, she can get testy when it comes to things she isn't comfortable with.
♈ She is easily bored. If she isn't trying to look into something or busy herself, she will get bored and proceed to find things that she can deconstruct-- though she will quickly find that she has been stripped of her psychic abilities.

Third Person Sample: "Oma... What?"

Under a tree near the outskirts of New Bark sat the newest citizen of Johto and her brand new Pokemon partner. Humans were strange enough, but these creatures took the cake. Hands carefully reached out, grasping the shell and picking the animal up only to have it retreat into its home with its tentacles barely poking out from the opening.

"You don't need to be scared," she frowned a bit, "I'm used to having others be afraid of me, but I promise. It's okay."

A light murring could be heard from inside and Aradia simply placed the animal in her lap, stroking the shell for a moment before letting her hand just rest upon it.

Being able to feel the breeze on face and to hear the rustle of the leaves overhead felt... bittersweet. And though she now knew that her friends were present, it felt like something was missing that she couldn't quite place her finger on. Why was it that she had to... come here of all places? Of all worlds and alternate universes, why was it a seemingly normal Earth-like destination that she had the opportunity to be plopped in after accepting what it was that should have happened to her.

"'manyte...!" Her eyes drifted down to a pair of tentacles wriggling out from the shell, grasping at the fabric of her skirt before a pair of eyes appeared to gaze up at her. His trainer wasn't scary at all! Even if she said otherwise.

"See?" Aradia spoke up softly, "I'm not going to hurt you. Even if I don't know what you are." She paused, "And if you don't hurt me, I think we will be okay."

"Om~an~yte~" The pokemon came further out of his shell, wiggling his many little arms in the air as to celebrate his master's kind olive branch.

She smiled the slightest bit and reached for a tentacle with her fingers, "I'm not sure that you could hurt a fly." And it was the curling of the little arm around her finger that made her even more sure of that statement. A gentle creature with a shy disposition was now under her care.

She would watch over him like her Lusus did for her. Or she would try her best. Nurturing wasn't something that she remembered.

Perhaps in time.

Time had a way of making all things possible.
