Rutgers parking WARNING!!!!

Jan 28, 2007 23:36

So, a lot of the parking lots at Rutgers say Commuters: All Commuter Permits 6 p.m. - 2 a.m., even though during the day we can only park on one campus. So Friday night I needed to take the train into New York. There were no spots near the station, so I parked in the Grease Trucks lot. I saw that "Commuters 6 p.m. - " and went in and parked. Didn't think anything of it. Today my dad noticed a piece of paper under my windshield wiper. Guess what? A ticket from Friday night (or Saturday morning technically) at 12:49 a.m. So after church today I drove over there to take a good look at that sign. What it say for all commuters is 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. That's it??!? I never had any idea. So goodbye to $25.

My advice: ALWAYS read the whole sign. Don't assume that every lot works like the status quo.
