It's raining outside, coming down loud enough to hear rapping on the window and sploshing into puddles. I've got the window open slightly, because it's too hot not to, but I don't really mind the noise.
Visited the dentist this afternoon: a very small chip in a previous filling, which has now been smoothed and sealed, so hopefully it won't give any further problems. And I didn't need to have any anaesthetic or drilling, so it was a very positive session.
The weather forecast says that there's cooler weather coming. I hope so. I really am a spring or autumn person: I'm too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

8: Easy by nature
True goodness
is like water.
Water's good
for everything.
It doesn't compete.
It goes right
to the low loathsome places,
and so finds the way.
For a house,
the good thing is level ground.
In thinking,
depth is good.
The good of giving is magnanimity;
of speaking, honesty;
of government, order.
The good of work is skill,
and of action, timing.
No competition,
so no blame.
