(no subject)
I haven't written so long. It isn't that I haven't thought about it, I have. My excuse? Writers block, which could many things. Here is a short update on my life in the last few months.
-Target offered me a position after being originally hired as seasonal help.
-Spent New Years at a smoky dive bar in Westport with a friend from work.
-Going to HAWAII in March with AZ family!
-Adopted a kitten, Suki. I love her.
-Shopped at Wall-Mart and ate McDonald's in one day. Oh my.
-Attended the KC Chiefs game on New Years Eve with my family. Cold fun!
-Began morning yoga again.
-Leaving for Phoenix tomorrow morning to visit family.
-Went to see hilarious improv comedy show with Mom.
-I bought a vintage suitcase set at the thrift store for a mere $5.
I like that my list is full of verbs, which means I've been doing things.
Life in America hasn't changed much since I left. The only difference is my perspective, although I am being pulled into the consumer life again. I shop on my days off, hell, I shop when I work. My closet is looking nice and full, and my textbooks for college classes are arriving via mail. Classes start when I return from my 8 day visit to Arizona. I am looking forward to seeing the desert again, the sunsets and red rocks.
I am content with where I am in my life right now. Suki is asleep in my lap, I have a hot cup of coffee and a gloomy morning outside my window.
