Blah.
You know, lately there's been several little things I've wanted to post about, nothing big or crazy eventful, just here and there stuff, but just don't quite get around to doing it. I wanted to post before the weekend was in full force. Let's see - we went to J and S's for the Fourth. We didn't really see fireworks, but that was ok. Hmmm...we have been in the process of adding some grass to the back yard. I'm prepared to do a before and after thing if it turns out well, which I think it will. It just takes some time for the new grass to become good friends with the old grass around it and such. Some of the grass is adjusting better than others. Maybe it's a generational thing.
We ate the other cake topper last weekend. Man that cake was good! I'm really surprised it tasted so well after being frozen for a year.
Let's see, what other randomness? We really did enjoy our 3 day weekend, and work has slowed down to a more 'manageable busy' than the 'insane busy' it had been for awhile. It probably doesn't help that my boss is on vacation, since his emails and calls and problems fall into my lap in his absence. That's alright though, just practice for when I have my own firm. Or not.
Last night Allison and I went to see Bleu Edmondson at the Glass Cactus. Neither of us had been there before, and it turned out to be a pretty cool place. The huge deck over the lake made it seem like a nice place for a happy hour. I think we'll definitely be going back! (Although I wasn't a big fan of the $4.50 beers. That's a little steep in my opinion. But the glassware was cool!) While watching Bleu, I found a new setting on the camera. I'm sure with some practice I can do some pretty cool stuff!
My next post should be interesting - I'm going to meet a friend from my younger days this evening at the LA Guns/Faster Pussycat show. Anyone remember them? I'm sure I'll have some good pictures!
