(baby blue) margaritas
We had such a great weekend. It was so relaxing. Neither one of us really had anything to worry about. It was great to see OU beat the t-sips. t.u. being 0-2 in conference play just makes me smile, and of course the Ags being 2-0 at the same time makes me giddy. Seriously, it's ridiculous. We'll see what happens this week in Lubbock. The Ags don't have a good track record in west TX in recent past, but I'll give them a chance against anyone, anywhere. I think they have a better chance this year than they have the past few, and those have been really close, so...
We went to a friends' baby shower this past Saturday. Let me tell ya, showers are different these days. This was my first baby shower, and I've been to a few 'couples' wedding showers, but this one took the cake! There was a blow up pool in the backyard with a bunch of ice and beer in it. There was a margarita machine with some crazy yummy 'ritas in it (and I'm not one for frozen margaritas - but these were good - just ask Allison!)! Tons of brisket (brisquette?) and smoked ribs and chips and dip and cake and everything. It was completely nuts for a baby shower. I guess maybe pregnant ladies these days are trying to live vicariously through others these days, since they have to hold off on the libations? There was another pregnant girl there, but both her and the mommy-of-the-hour seemed to be having just as much fun as everyone else. Good times...
It's been an up and down week at work I think. I'm glad Allison has a lot of her hoops behind her that she has had to jump through - except for a couple loose ends here and there, we can start looking forward to her parents coming up next weekend, then Vegas.

Jose and I are going to see Bleu tonight at Suede. Should be a good time - his album just came out, and it's quite the listener, if I say so myself. But I could be biased...
But first - the dentist at 4, then a quick (but good) workout at my old gym, then I can start having some fun.

I was originally going to post about this odd couple that I see at the gym, for some reason they just get on my nerves. I'll save that for tomorrow. Or maybe next week...
