[February 14th; the day that she had learned to be modern culture's festival of love. She had been anticipating this day, enthusiastic even, planning to wake up in the morning to go buy chocolate to gift to the people of her esteemed household. Instead, an unexpected surprise soured her mood. It seems as if some memories popped into her mind, and she since she didn't remember herself to have said memories before, she would have passed it off as a dream. However if she told herself that if she was going to have a dream of that nature, it would've been someone she at least had some physical attraction to, but the person wasn't anyone of the sort, an old lover, her wife or even her Master. As it stands, her partner in said memories was some insignificant boy who she only remembered to be someone who claimed he was her twin's Master in one of the previous Wars ( ... )

[And sure enough, once he heard her voice and that chilling tone that made him nearly shiver, Shirou will slowly glance over his shoulder to see whom it was. That ahoge, that face and... that chest. Granted, this is not the Saber he had made a pact with at first, she is still the Saber that he remembered in his dreams.

What was meant to be a surprise to her, Shirou could instantly tell that scowling look on her face was not a good sign. So, he just took a plate from the side and placed a steak that is shaped like a heart on it and offered it too her.

If she is anything like the Saber he knew, this is surely the best way to get her to her better side and she would appreciate it.]

I would hope so, since this is for you, after all. I did my best to prepare things just the way you like it.

In addition to that, as far as I am aware, the custom for this holiday is to give beautifully decorated sweets! Such as like chocolate! Not some filthy piece of meat!

Wait, you eat desserts first before your meal? I do have the chocolates ready, but I figured I should at least treat you to a good meal that I made myself to your liking. Isn't that what this day is about? Catering to people you are close with and treat them with nice and fancy things?

While your assumptions are not entirely incorrect, I have to question your idea of a "good" meal when you are lacking many components, the most important being wine.

...as for my response to your initial question, it is my right to do as I please and I would rather have sweets than meat dishes. Especially if you and I are going to engage in the more intimate aspects of this holiday.

Yeah yeah, I understand. I understand already.

[Shirou will just blow off any of her words and let them slide off as if he heard these lines before... which based on this sudden memory he had, it could be true or not.

But he'll also take the plate back from her and then placed the rest of the meats on the plate.]

But if you're not going to eat any of this that I worked so hard on for you, then I suppose I should give this to the animals instead. I'm pretty sure they would at least appreciate the gesture. Now stay there and I'll get your chocolates that you're craving for.

I am pleased that we have come to an understanding. If this continues then perhaps you and this day might not be as much of a failure as I initially thought after all.

You know, if you're REALLY going to stay outside then I'm going to leave you there. I know what I said and all, but it is pretty cold and if I'm not going to have a grill to keep me warm then I'm going to prepare some tea in here.

I'm pretty sure there is a sweeter prize for you inside though if you decide to come in too.
