God, the new update page is so strange. It's like 7th grade up in here all over again.
Hi.
I'm alive, and well and I'm not sure entirely who I'm talking to anymore because I'm pretty darn positive that no one checks LJ anymore except for downloading or ONTD (the former's slowing down and the later makes my browser crash)! I've finally given up on the idea that I'm going to move out of here, and unpacked all of my boxes - though it did take seven months! - and am in the market for a mini-fridge because my roommates believe that... well if you've been around you know all about their disregard of common courtesy and general lack of cleanliness. Mostly I'm just sort of sad that I won't be able to bake a rhubarb pie this year, unless I rent out a commercial kitchen. (The thermostat on the oven is broken.)
My brother is graduating from Cal Poly in a couple of weeks, I'm as poor as ever and erm... I dunno. I'm doing school in the fall again as I took this semester off, but my prospects for either nannying or working at a preschool are pretty bleak at this point. Now I kind of wish I'd taken Spanish in high school instead of all that AP French.
However the one bright spot of this year has been that I finally started Driver's Ed. and my dad's offered to pay for Behind the Wheel classes cause he feels bad that he was either late to or completely missed every graduation I've ever had.
I miss talking to Kayla and Kate, and I need to get an iPhone already so I can iMessage Kayla like I used to BBM her. :( /calls out into the abyss for you two
