Yeah so I did this in July, but since I got tagged, and my answers are different now, I'll play along:

1. "Work" - Jimmy Eat World
Off their newest album, Futures, which I have already praised, this song is to the newest high school graduates what "Friends Forever (Graduation)" by Vitamin C was for my year.Except a lot less cheesy. Check out the music video on Jimmy Eat World's website.
2. "If I Didn't Believe In You " - The Last Five Years
I finally got my piano on Wednesday, and proceeded to spend three hours reading through songs from my recently-purchased-but-never-played vocal selections book.
3. "Kaval Sviri" - Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares
This song was done by BYU Noteworthy at the ICCA semis last year. Bulgarian choral singing has been around for hundreds of years. Simply sublime... the TONE! Whoa.
4. "Butterflies and Hurricanes" - Muse
Epic and mesmerizing. PLUS, it's got a concert piano solo in the middle. Come on now. I wanna see 50 Cent or Hilary Duff break that shit out. No? I thought not....
5. "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" - Death Cab For Cutie
Simple, beautiful, human:
if heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
illuminate the 'no'-s on their vacancy signs
if there's no one beside you
when your soul embarks
then I'll follow you into the dark.
