if this is a moment, let us celebrate it

right then, this is an attempt, an attempt to capture and convey the chaotic brilliance of the last week.....the week that started in Granada and ended in Spain.........so as mentioned before rest was needed after the Barcelona debacle, so headed to Granada, relaxed saw the lovely sights, sat on the roof baking in the sun.....and then to Morocco...

So let me tell you about Morocco. It is amazing. Go. Now.
Go to Algeciras, Spain find a ferry to Tangiers and meet up a kindly couple kindly kids (one Aussi and one Polack Canadian is preferable)....arrive in Tangiers and leave soon. (The best description I've heard is Tijuana of Morocco. kindof sketchy and not the 'real' Morocco) Ya, so take the night train to Marrakesh where you'll be greeted with a lovely sunny morning. Head to Hotel Ali, a conviently placed and rather nice euro a night Hotel (with the finest all you can eat breakfast thrown in....mmmmm fresh squeezed orange juice and omelettes. I miss you already). Then prepare to meet Morocco. Snake charmers, magicians, storytellers, the winding roads of the old Medina and tiny shops overflowing with random brilliant things. This is convenient place to get lost a waste the day away talking with all the wonderful shopkeepers who are your immediate best friend (until you get them to agree to sell you a lovely old lute for 50euro, then have second thoughts and wander off to their cries of finding a better price...). After this long morning of wandering, it's maybe time to laze about the roof top of the hotel under the brilliant sunshine with the strongest and finest cup of mint tea you will ever find. Besides you've rest up for the evening when the Medina really comes alive with thousands of people wandering about, musicians everywhere, the finest of street food vendors, brilliant cups of spicy ginsing tea.

Ya, that was Marrakesh, kindof mad, but also almost one of the most relaxing places I've been, so warm and sooo different from anything I've seen that I couldn't do anything but just sit back and enjoy it.
