My very unexpected visit to the E.R.

Well that was loads of fun...I'll give you the story. I went to work, I was walking around the booth and began to feel quite strange. All of a sudden while finishing threading a projector I suddenly felt I was going to pass out...so I did. I hit the projector on the way down, too. That was pretty bad because I didn't completely go unconscious until I hit it. I could have broken my neck, but I guess I got lucky. When I came to, I called Mike over the radio, but he wouldn't answer, so I called his cell phone and told him to hurry over to the build-up table. That's where I was sitting at that point in time. When he got there I was crying and told him to call an ambulance. I had to explain what happened and it was really hard because I was freaking out so much. *laughs* I bet I sounded rediculous. So I got poked and prodded by a bunch of EMT's and nurses. I had an EKG done and some other wires were hooked up to me, but I have no idea what for. I had an I.V. and they took blood and they made me pee in a cup (sorry that's gross, huh) and they stabbed by finger to check my blood sugar. Bleh...horrible. The funniest part of it all was when they asked me to go to the bathroom. The nurse must not have known that you're supposed to keep the I.V. bag above your heart. I didn't know either, so I was just holding it wherever. All of a sudden I noticed that the bag was full of my blood. They quickly put me back in the bed and had to pump the blood back into my arm. I felt very very strange. But it was interesting, for sure. No diagnosis yet...I'm just a gimp, I guess.
