[UPDATE] Wheels and things
Modpost: wheels within wheels, for the Ofanim among us. Next up will be a Bandpost unless there's at least one demon-y post between now and my next one, but I'm not sure which, 'cause I don't have any more really strong hook-ideas for other Choirs and Bands -- so if you have ideas or requests for me, or want to make a C/B-post yourself, feel free! :-)
I know at least some of you use the community-tracking feature on
in_a_nutshell, to see when new posts and comments go up. This feature is only available to community moderators unless the community is a paid account, and the Nutshell's paid time runs out on 06/22, in two and a half weeks.
I do not have the money to pay for an extension myself, but if anyone wants to gift Dreamwidth points to the cause, please feel free to gift to
inanutshell_mod or
in_media_res and I'll put all points toward the extension. You can also gift paid time directly to
in_a_nutshell, though I recommend points unless you plan to gift at least 6 months (since it's slightly cheaper per month to get at least 6).
Points are 10 for $1 USD. We need 30 points to pay for 1 month, or 175 points for 6 months. I have 10 points on
inanutshell_mod already, which I think were left over from the last gifting. (Thank you agan, whoever paid last time!) If we get together enough points, I'll buy paid time for the community when we hit a total of 175 or on the 22nd, whichever comes first! (Since buying early doesn't mean you lose unpaid days, it just extends your counter from the day it'd normally run out.) If we get more than 175 points but less than 350, I'll ask here if people want me to buy more time or save it till the current time runs out (in case of further point-gifts between now and then), and if we get 350 or more, I'll buy a year and save leftovers. If we get very close to one of those points, I may be able to throw in a couple bucks' worth myself, but no guarantees, whee unemployed broke-ness.
Standard reminders about the wiki and OOC comm, standard request to PLEASE ADVERTISE THE COMM -- if you know anyone remotely interested in In Nomine, INS/MV, PbP, anything, please pass the word on! I'm happy to talk to people and help them get settled here, or find out what kind of hooks and stuff would make things more fun for them, or anything I can do to help. I'm also going to do a quick pass through our members list at some point to nudge people who I haven't seen play in awhile, just in case they're willing to come back for the summer, and if I can put together a proper banner and ad blurb, I'll be linking us on RPG ad-sites at some point. And maybe reposting on the INML or the innomine community or something. Posts in your journal or on other fora are also great, and if you need anything from me for that kinda thing, just let me know. Fingers crossed that we get more activity!
