I Know Why Goddesses Are Born of Foam

I spent last night in the pop-up camper, and woke up to a spectaular morning. The dappled light that made its way through the tree broughs was dancing upon the canvas above me when my sleep came to an end (approximately five hours earlier than usual) at seven. My mother and I then drove down the road a few minutes to the seashore for low tide. ( Read more... )

I don't have your e-mail address, so, I'm leaving this here...If it sounds awkward in a comment, bear in mind that it was originally an e-mail.

Most of you've I've made some sort of contact with, whether it be through livejournal, myspace, aim, a phone conversation, or an answering machine, and for those that I haven't, it's probably because I'm an ass and lost most of the phone numbers that I had, and, it's been so long since I called anyone that I don't actually know phone numbers anymore. (It's true - I needed to dig out a piece of photo copied paper from the summer before 11th grade to get Rachel's number, and I've known that since 7th grade - it's bad.) And my phone book is about a million years old.

And I don't like talking on the phone much when I haven't seen people in awhile. As some can attest to, it makes me even more awkward than normal.

But, anyway, not to be long winded...

There will definitely be a picnic on Tuesday, August 8th, at 6:00-ish to around sunset.

You're welcome to bring anything you'd like (actually, a picnic is made good with food, I've been told. I'm bringing salad and fudge.) And any people you'd like to invite are good, too - I don't know everyone's e-mail addresses, so, spread the word, yo. And I'm bringing frisbees. And I might scrounge up a wiffle ball and bat.

Car pooling is probably the best idea, if possible, because I believe that there is a parking fee.

If I don't hear from you, I'll attempt to find someone who has your phone number, or try to find your phone number in the mess that I call a room. Or something.
