Masunari Gen Elias
I am exhausted from supporting Kao thru 21hrs of labor & no sleep the night before! Then I worked a 12 hour day at the hotel today. Worth every agony. Masunari, Gen Elias is perfection! He radiates with an ancient wisdom. Born 9-9-08 at 8:39pm, 6 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long.
Kao is incredible! She went through natural birth w/ my midwife, intense back labor & vomitting & on IV, yet she still managed to giggle between contractions.
She was like a great queen and also a child fresh with awe of her own body, fully staying aware to experience every sensation. Truly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
I sat there with her on the bed through it all, watching as the head emerged and was prepped for his first breath. Soon after she held her joy in her arms. After they settled into the moment and bonded, I was able to cut the cord.
