I could see how that interview could make a person debate about Heather and Beck being together. I'd like to believe that Beck could be lucky twice in his lifetime. Probably because I like Heather and can identify with her as opposed to Mrs Beck, who we know nothing about.

There is a story idea I've thought about with Mrs Beck though. Valente finds her (right after she's gotten her daughter off to a safe place), falls for her & keeps her with him under the threat that he'll kill Beck if she leaves. Mrs Beck dreams of leaving Valente, but doesn't dare go back to Beck for fear that he'll hate her for what has happened. I figure if I'm still entertaining the idea after this & a couple of other of stories I've neglected get finished, I might actually write it.

you are doing a wonderful job with all the characters
Thanks for saying that. I've been worried about making Carlos into a Gary Stu and Beck into this sort of smoldering, brooding character when it comes to Heather. But I also get afraid that if I worry about anything too much, I'll get writers block and the story will never get finished. I'm hoping if I really screw things up, someone will obligingly give me a heads up. LOL

So glad you are feeling better!
Thank you, I am. Unfortunately, the medication didn't do what I needed it to do. The original problem is really just a big nuisance & for the most part, the medication just made me sick from the side effects without taking care of the problem. I'm hoping that a doctor I'm seeing soon will be able to clear things up -- and not have to take that medication again... :/

Totally and completely agree with you on this. And hopefully Beck realizes what a lucky guy he is.

Valente falling for Mrs. Beck? Somehow I can't think of Valente falling in love with anyone. I guess because all we've seen of him is him being eeeeevil. But I could totally see the hostage aspect. I look forward to seeing what can be done here.

Actually, I've never seen Valente as evil. I've pretty much seen him as a coward. The man refuses to do his own dirty work, instead sending out Sarah Mason to take care of things for him. I have always throught true evilness is truly destructive and Valente's got too much self preservation going on to be truly evil. Constantino, on the other hand, I could see blowing himself up if he thought he could take most of Jericho with him. Constantino I always thought had the evil streak in him because he's a whack job who not only thinks he's sane, but thinks that he's doing the right thing. Constantino, not Valente, is the one that really scares me.

You make a good point about doing his own dirty work. I guess that I didn't think much beyond the whole 'nefarious mastermind' image I was getting, sitting in a lair somewhere, plotting the next step.

And I have to agree that Constantino is one scary SOB. That meeting with Eric in P&T just oozed psycho.

You know I was thinking about Valente when I was at work today and sort of wondered if the show writers may have in passing based his character on Bloefeld from the James Bond films. Valente sort of reminds me of Bloefeld, sans cat. Of course, then my mind wandered onto the Simpsons Bloefeld spoof episode and Homer bragging to Marge about tripping James Bond -- "I caught a slacker at work today..."

It's also hard to believe the same actor that does Constantino is Lassiter on Psych. I prefer him playing a shmoe because he plays psycho just a little bit too convincingly for my comfort.

Funny you should mention the cat...one of the images I'd gotten is of the villain in Inspector Gadget. Only less cartoonish.

I've also heard that D.B. Sweeney is actually a really nice guy. Which is impressive considering that he can come across so evil in something as benign as a polo shirt.

I never got into Inspector Gadget, much to the dismay of my boyfriend, because it reminded me too much of Get Smart. I never got the "I think I'm smart but everyone else knows I'm stupid" routine as being a source of amusement.

Yeah, it kind of makes me wonder what type of acting techniques D. B. Sweeney employs. If it's method, it makes me what sort of anger & control issues he thinks he needs to work his way through. I could see him easily stepping into the role of Jake if Skeet Ulrich decided not to take the job. I also know a lot of actors think that playing the villain is more fun, but that statement always makes me think, "Man, what sort of crap in your closet are you dealing with?"
