It hit 39.5C here at 2:52 today. 20 minutes later it was 31. Darce and I were standing on the verandah when the change came through. We nearly weren't standing on the verandah.
In the last two weeks, I have built a database, written a paper, reconstructed my study guide, organised five tutors, installed a development server and a wiki on my mac, nearly had a breakdown and submitted a PhD.
I'm having three days off this week, because the week after we start the semester. I need to stop for a while. I'm so wound up I got up at 2:30 this morning to work on the spreadsheet that analyses the data from the database. Actually, I've done less on the database than L. He did most of the hard yakka, I just pointed out flaws, made random suggestions and demanded data. At 3:00am I was installing access and excel (in parallels) on my mac so I could check all the links.
Most of today has been veging on the couch. I did upload my study guide if anyone is interested. I'm quite proud of how this course is coming together. I've been accused of being post-modern on account of that course. Tomorrow, I'm going to finish off the redesign of my site and get my blog fixed.
