I'm not sure where on the karmic scale saving a mammoth oppossum (and by mammoth I mean the size of a small dog) from certain death ranks, but it's got to count for something. Thank god for latex gloves and helpful passersby.
I went to a Quaker meeting this morning. They call it Society of Friends for a reason. I LOVED it. We just sat for an hour, something wonderful happened in my head, and I remembered that we are all lovely miracles. I wanted to hug everyone and everything I saw. I'm still reading Emerson to recharge myself when not working and it's definitely doing the job. I'm really digging the Transcendentalists right now.
I had my navel repierced yesterday. There was a scar there from my old piercing and I'd been meaning to have it done, just hadn't really prioritized it, but I was filming the triad yesterday at a tattoo shop and it seemed like a good time. The boy who pierced me had two beautiful old school style birds, one on each ankle. Usually I'm not fond of colored tattoos but these were gorgeous and made me think of Hermes' winged boots. How fantastic, to fly when you walk.
Tomorrow is a 6am wake up for documentary shooting. I think I'm getting a handle on the destination, now all that's left is the rest of the journey.
Aaaaaaand goodnight.
