On the very rare occasions when I have been eligible to nominate or vote for the Hugo (or any other literary award for that matter) I have not done so because I've never had the time, inclination or opportunity to read/see all the candidates, and I feel that an uninformed vote is worthless. Spent most of this afternoon watching the replay of the Olympic Opening Ceremony and sweltering.

Also catching up on fanfic. I did contemplate sending the author of the Guardian article on Fanfic a copy of the latest fanficrant on the iniquities of fans who post Original Fiction to Fanficnet, but I doubt that he'd get the irony ( Read more... )
