Rubbish, Art and Radio 4

Yesterday I managed to sort out three bags full of clothes than I've not worn for at least three years and am unlikely now to need, and took them to the recycling centre this morning. The surplus jhodpurs will go to a local charity shop though - I suspect someone in the area might find them useful.

When we were at the cat show on Saturday the venue had a very good art gallery showing some beautiful fantasy works by Kim Major George, using a technique I've not come across before called 'collagraph' a sort of cross between collage and etching. She runs workshops and I may explore booking one - being a bit of a print fan.

The weather has turned quite lovely - so I've put most of the cats in the run outside. I only intended to take out Flash and Zara, but Pye insisted on one of her strolls round the estate (with the occasional nibble at the grass and pause to throw up) and then Ross opened the back door and let Casino and Kurt out - so I spent twenty minutes herding and sorting cats.

Unfortunately it's too bright to work on the 'puter outside, so I am back in the bedroom listening to Leslie Phillips reading from a post WW2 cookery manual for men, followed by LLB's programme on interior design (this is why I love Radio 4), and typing fic.
