I do love the Romford Vue cinema. Because the house lights came up at a key point during my viewing of Skyfall the patrons were given a free pass for a future film. While it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination what one would call quality scripting or plot, I actually found it quite enjoyable while watching it, although completely forgettable once I'd finished discussing it afterwards with the boys - one of those sorts of movies.
I think I enjoyed it more out of that vicarious enjoyment you get when you share something with your kids that they enjoy, I suppose. When they hit their teens, you grab what you can in that regard, as it gets quite rare lol.
I must say I prefer Iron Man3 to the interminable parade of other things I actually found myself enjoying via my kids' joy over them - The Wiggles (retch), Pokemon, Animorphs (the best of the bunch) Power Rangers etc... it's amazing what you can find yourself enjoying or at least abiding as a parent.
Luckily, we do enjoy things in common as well: Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Potter, all things Middle Earth and A Song of Ice and Fire among them, so all is not lost.
