Friday Baking Day
Lil was fast asleep at 10 this morning (we were both up at 5 as usual) so I decided to take the dogs out for their walk - except that Draco did his usual 'chase me' trick, and for once I decided not to play, so left him at home and took Bren out for a nice walk in the woods with a group of the regular local dog walkers.
Lil was up when I got back, so she went out to do the shopping while I gave Draco his walk, then did some baking - pesto and cheese bread knots and the rest of the blueberries in a different muffin recipe - which turned out much better than the last one.
Watched some cycling, which is as soporific as F1 - round and round and round... (I wondered whether it might be possible to marry velodome cycling visuals with an F1 soundtrack, and what the result might be, though fortunately I do not have the skills to realise this nightmare vision.)
Then, in the absence of this week's Wittertainment for Olympic coverage I downloaded Empire's Jason Isaacs interview podcast (which had quite a lot about Mayo and Kermode, naturally) and settled down for my usual Friday afternoon vegetate.
Until Zara jumped up and bit through the headphone cable.
