Haven't posted in a while, which is pretty much indicative of the free time I've had. :(

I'm a little bit stressed out, but it's just that usual college stress that I should be used to by now. I'm behind in two classes; missing a few assignments in music theory and completely confused with the assignment structure in Religion +TV because it's a very "here's what you need to do, do it whenever you like as long as it's in by the last day" type of class, and as I have terrible self discipline, I don't tend to do well in those situations. I did catch up in Electronic Music Lab (I might post the piece I did if anyone's interested; it makes interesting use of guitar noises and spoken word done by the text-to-speech voice on my laptop), and History of the Beatles, while being a little tiring as far as the masturbatory content the professor comes up with, is of course a cakewalk when you're as much of a G at instant song recognition as I am.

So it's pretty sad that I'm 22 and still don't have a license because I have a horrible habit of putting things off indefinitely. I'm looking to change that this week, so wish me luck and/or harass me about it from time to time. =P

The new band is doing... surprisingly well. We're a complete band now, for one thing, and we're rather tight sounding for a band that just got together, and we're practically a stone's throw and some song lyrics away from playing shows (we were supposed to play a Halloween party, but that got cancelled and it was a bad day for me anyway). We've settled on the name Paper Tigers, for what it's worth.

So, as I may have mentioned, Halloween is mine and Jon's 4 year anniversary, and I have a surprise planned for him (obviously I'm not going to mention what it is here because he reads this). Originally we moved the getty we were planning to Saturday, but since the show wasn't happening, we're going to be switching it back to Friday. Only problem for that is that I'll likely be really burnt out from work and then having to work in the morning (I know, wah, but I'm seriously not a morning person :(), and I just wish I could have been able to have the day off and enjoy it to the fullest (because this is really the first time we've really been able to do anything for our anniversary other than eat).

I was gonna talk a little bit about how I'm REALLY socially inept and spend a lot of weekends by myself, online or off, because of it, but I don't know how valid that statement is when I got like 4 IM's the second I signed on. It still stands that I really suck at connecting with people, though. I'm always really afraid of talking to and meeting new people, so unless I get approached or we somehow end up on the same wavelength, nothing really comes of it.

I've been pretty good about going to shows, lately. I saw Opeth last monday, and Skeletonwitch/Moonspell/Dimmu Borgir before then, and both were great fun.

Little Big Planet is the new hotness. It's quite possibly the first non-fighting-game I've had an immense boner for in a while. Also been playing a lot of Soul Calibur 4 at my campus, and thanks to the sudden appearance of decent players, I've actually been (gasp) practicing shit a good deal (word to the confused: I NEVER practice stuff in fighting games anymore). I would play it online (though i hate playing fighting games online), but I've NEVER been able to get actually get a game going when I tried.
