BSB in Denver--I mean Broomfield, CO.
So we didn't buy the tickets until the day before the show, and we didn't have the tickets in our hands until hours before the show. We're picky bitches and didn't settle for anything not on the floor so we were on Ticketmaster, Stubhub, Craigslist, eBay, the fanclub forums (♥ trumpeterofdoom) all weekend until finally an eBay homie lowered their price by $100. With 10 minutes left to spare, $164 was swiftly extracted from my bank account for the tickets to arrive less than 24 hours later from Florida to Colorado.
I don't even know what to say about the concert. Second row is the closest I've been at any concert, and the fact that it was for the Backstreet Boys made it that much more exciting and special. They put on a great show as expected. Favorite songs: Everybody, WGIGO (!!!!!!), The One, SOMH, LTL, TIU, AIHTG, INBYH, ALAYLM, You Need Love, IWITW, STMH. Now that I've given you the entire setlist, a few complaints: 1) lack of AIHTG hat dance, 2) lack of Unbreakable tunes (NG too, but I was used to that from the last tour), 3) the people in the front row were just standing there. Come on, you're front row and you're just standing there? At least dance, or jiggle a little, to let them know you're alive. At one point I was dancing--to what song? I can't even remember--and Brian started copying me and it made me very happy lol.
Lilly and I also went to the afterparty, which, as I've said too many times already, was lame, stupid, awkward, etc. Though they stayed for a lot longer than we thought they would, Nick and Howie spent most of their time hanging out in the VIP area, interacting with the crowd every 20 minutes when they would ask how everyone's doing, if everyone enjoyed the show, to hit the bar and "drink and be merry!" So when they weren't addressing us, everyone just continued to stare at them while they were trying to have a good time. How awkward is that? We touched/shook their hands, Nick stuck his crotch in Lilly's face, and she ignored him when he put the mic in her face to sing Everybody lmfao. We want our money back. But I guess we would've wondered about it if we didn't go.
I did appreciate, though, that they invited some of the club's trashy hired dancers to go to the VIP area to dance for them. Except they weren't good dancers. In fact they weren't dancing at all, it was more like mimicking lesbionic sex with clothes on. Howie was cracking up so hard while Nick was a total asshole and was taking pictures with his phone and laughing his ass off with Lauren, maybe even picture messaging AJ about what he was missing. Nick Carter is hot, an asshole, and he knows it. I love him.
And now for some (unedited, just resized because I'm lazy) photos! I took over 300 pictures, only about 100 weren't blurry, and I narrowed it down to these lol. My camera started to die a little toward the end so I used it more sparingly. No videos, but maybe on Sunday. Or Monday lol.
